While hornworm chow (the paste in the cup) provides their complete diet, you can also feed them Mulberry tree leaves, green tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, celery, collard greens, red bell peppers, banana peel, and dandelion leaves in a pinch. Red tomatoes will work just as well, but they have a high sugar/water content that will give your hornworms runny poop.
In the wild, tomato leaves and stems are worms' natural diet, but worms that have eaten tomato leaves can be toxic to reptiles and should be avoided.
