Isopods are one of our Cleaner Crew insects for Bioactive Enclosures, but they also make for great pets!
When in a Bioactive enclosure, you want to make sure that your mini-ecosystem is balanced and that you won't be adding in too many elements that will have to fight for resources.
If you are looking to add in some of our Dermestid Beetles or Larvae or our Buffalo Beetles, then you would have both the Isopods and the Beetles fighting for the same food and space. Dermestid and Buffalo Beetles do best cleaning up taxidermy projects or your worm bins, as they will be the dedicated Cleaner Crew for those areas.
If you are looking to house Isopods with a pet Beetle, it should be all right as long as you provide enough space for both to live in harmony with each other.
