Our worms are not certified Organic by the government. We do however purchase our wheat bran from a local mill that supplies bakeries, and our carrots from a grower in Kern Valley that supplies supermarkets and Souplantation restaurants.
We buy only human quality food for our worms because we are so leery of introducing chemicals to our colonies but also because so many humans eat our worms.
We raise them 100% naturally using only dilute bleach to clean our bins between growing cycles. The bins are then washed and rinsed thoroughly and left to air dry in the sunshine before re-use after one month.
If you are looking to by organic mealworms make absolutely sure that the seller has the USDA Organic seal provided by the government and doesn't just **say** that they're organic:
