Waxworms are a fatty treat for Leopard Geckos, we call them the 'vanilla cake' of feeders!
Like humans eating vanilla cake, it must be done in moderation. Leopard geckos will love the fatty, creamy texture and often refuse other foods if they become accustomed to eating them regularly.
Geckos that need extra fat in the diet (for example those in rehabilitation who need their tail fat stores replenished) can eat them more often. A healthy gecko should eat one to three worms 3 times a week. A recovering gecko can eat waxworms 3 at a time 4 to 5 times a week.
