Yes, in fact - it's how we are able to grow mealworms all-naturally. We let biology (dermestid larvae) keep our colonies free of decaying material by letting them live with our mealworm colonies. They do not compete for food.
When you are keeping cleaner-crew with mealworms you simply need to just add them to your colony! For most people, the 1-ounce cup of 50 dermestid larvae is plenty, unless you have extremely large bins (4 feet wide), then 50 should keep your bins clean for you. They'll eat any decaying material including both vegetation and any dead worms as well while not eating live mealworms for you!
