Our Red Runners are sold as adults and are a 50:50 male to female ratio. They measure around 1" at adulthood. We ship them between 3/4 and 1" in length.
Red Runner Roaches are also known as the Turkestan Roach and are from Central Asia & the Middle East.
Red Runners are very nutritious as they have a high meat to shell ratio containing 37% protein and 6% fat making them very similar to a cricket nutritionally.
Adult males can 'fly' and so they must be housed in a screen-top container. They grow quickly if kept between 85 and 90°, but can be kept at current size for quite a while at 70°. These roaches breed quickly with each female producing 100 babies monthly.
They cannot climb a glass or slippery sided container.
They are really FAST and so bearded dragons (or reptiles that like to hunt) especially love them!
