The winter heat packaging includes: * One 72-hour heat pack * Double Boxing Because USPS is rated to take up to 8 days, the Winter Heat Packaging is best used with FedEx as your shipping method so your heat pack will still be warm while your package is on the delivery truck.
An Activated 72 Hour Heat Pack will be single boxed, with a heat pack put in next to your worms.
There are several options we have for you in cold weather to ensure you get the live delivery guarantee. It is unsafe for insects to be out for delivery when the daily high is 55° or below: 1. Choose "Hold for Pickup" on the product page. We will send them to your local post or FedEx hub for pickup. There is no additional cost to you. 2. On our website we have Priority Overnight morning delivery as a shipping option, we can ship them to arrive at your home (or business address if you enter it as your shipping address) to arrive in the first on the FedEx truck so your feeders aren't on the cold delivery truck.
