Redworms require moist soil in order to keep their skin damp. When they become to dry, they cannot breathe through their skin.
If they are put into mealworm bran and frass, they will become dried and shrivel up.
You can, however, use the mealworm frass to sprinkle on top of your redworm soil very lightly (or in your garden). Redworms will migrate to the top of the soil and eat the frass very readily.
