We would not have added that to your shipment. That is a cooling pack that some vendors add to packing to keep worms cool in shipment.
I'm guessing you have purchased on Amazon and believe the shipment is from us.
I'm afraid cold packs aren't a good option for shipping insects. If we add a cold pack, it will increase condensation inside the container resulting in fungal or mold growth. While this is an effective method when shipping reptiles, this is very harmful to mealworms and superworms as it is for the animals that eat them. We prefer to ship your order to the post office or hub if using FedEx for pickup. It's the drive from there to your home that is lethal to worms in warm or cold weather. If your mail carrier drives with them in the truck in weather above 85° or below 45° for more than an hour, they will most likely arrive dead. People who purchase from Rainbow Mealworms do so because we are a farm and grow our Superworms 100% naturally. Because of that, we will not use cold packs that endanger the health of your live food.
