Let me explain how we are able to ship, no matter what your current weather, and still offer our live guarantee. It's the drive from the post office or hub to your home that is lethal to insects in hot or cold weather. If your mail carrier drives with them in the truck in weather above 85° or below 55° for more than an hour, they will most likely die before you receive them. When you choose "Hold for Pickup", we will mark your package to either be held at your local post office or to the nearest UPS/FedEx hub (depending on which method for shipping you choose). Watch the tracking number we send you to know when they've arrived:
Your post office is meant to call you but can be a bit slow, and will often scan your package as "Out for delivery" out of habit. When that happens don't be alarmed Your package will be kept in a separate area from other packages because it is marked as having live contents. If they have any trouble finding your package just let them know it is in their temperature-controlled room for live animals. If your daily high is between 55 and 85° you can have your shipment come straight to your house and still have our 100% live delivery guarantee. If you choose "Next Day Morning Delivery" as your shipping method and are home to directly receive your package from FedEx, you will also be 100% qualified.
