1. Add your mealworms to a bin, we prefer a wide but shallow tray. Add wheat bran at about 1 pound per every 2000 mealworms.
2. Keep at a depth of no more than 1.5" and have their droppings (castings) sifted out every 2-3 days. You can do this with a large flour sifter (the semi-circle type with a handle). And sift the worms from one bin into another.
3. Give carrots chopped in 2 to 3" pieces spaced five to six inches apart and replace several times weekly.
