Spikes must be refrigerated between 33 - 39° and will keep for 4 weeks, the crisper of your fridge is the best spot!
If you'd like them to turn into flies, just put them at room temperature.
They will form a darker skin in the second stage of pupation. After the dark skin is formed flies will emerge in 10 to 15 days depending on the room temperature.
No food is needed at all.
