We pack a full tablespoon of springtails into each culture. They are extremely small (1/6 to 1/5 inch long); a cat flea is 1.5mm, while a springtail is only 0.5mm a third of its size.
With them being so small I'm afraid they are too numerous to count; our best guess though is between 1 and 2 thousand.
