Our Red Giants are fed an oil-based vegetable dye to give them a pink color that is more visible to fish in the water. Our dyes are certified for use in foods, drugs, and cosmetics (FD&C Red #4). While the dye isn't harmful to your reptiles, we prefer that you feed them our all-natural golden Giant mealworms.
Most customers who choose Rainbow Mealworms do so because our regular mealworms are all-natural, and so feeding a naturally raised giant mealworm is a perfect choice.
