Roaches need 10 to 15% protein in their diet. Wheat bran has 13% protein and is in the perfect range.
Crickets are omnivorous (meaning they eat plants and meat). In the wild, they will eat and destroy the crops of corn, wheat, and barley. They will also eat vegetables in the garden to a lesser extent. They also require protein in their diet. They both like a variety though and need vitamins added as well. Either love bananas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, oranges, protein-enriched bread, greens, fish flakes, ground dry dog food, even cereals like Honey Bunches of Oats!
We like using Repashy Bug Burger because it is an all-in-one not only completely nutritional food for both crickets and roaches but is also their water source as well.
